BEAUTIFUL MYRTLE BURL PANASONIC SB-DT300 BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS
For sale; a beautiful pair of Book Matched Myrtle Burl Veneered - Panasonic SB DT300 Bi-Wired two way speakers. These are some of the best speakers that Panasonic used in their high end micro systems. Panasonic made several of this type of speaker, but these are some of the better ones and they don’t show up often. Many of the other bi amped speakers do not have the double push button wire termination points on the rear panel. Most have two, two conductor 18 gauge speaker wires coming out of a hole in a particle board cabinet at back of the cabinet These speakers’ dimensions are; 8” deep, 4.5” wide and 9” high. As noted earlier, these are very good quality speakers (definitely worth the veneering effort IMHO), however, they are not in the same category as say Sonus Faber, KEF or B & W speakers. I have an entry level, mid-high end Yamaha micro system that uses a pair of Yamaha Piano Craft NX-E150, 2-way speakers with a driver compliment consisting of a 1” fabric dome tweeter and a 4.5” woofer. These little Panasonic speakers with their 1” fabric dome tweeter and 2.75”, absolutely kicked the ass of the Yamaha speakers, regardless of the Yamaha’s higher power handling rating and bigger woofer. I am asking $250 for these speakers and if you are going to use them to anchor an office system, you will need to augment them with a sub-woofer of equal quality. They will be shipped in a double box with plenty of padding. The buyer will be responsible for shipping costs which will be about $50 in Canada and a bit more to the USA and probably double to other international addresses. Believe me, these speakers took a lot more time than $250 worth of labour. But, they best be put to use by someone that can appreciate their beauty. Plus, I’m sure they will also do some excellent advertising for me. The price is firm and includes silver wire jumpers.

Description of system above
A great deal on a good solid car stereo system consisting of: one bridgeable Ultimate TA2160 2-channel or 1-channel amplifier (50 watts per channel or 100 watts bridged), one 4-channel Blaupunkt BPA-415-A amplifier (15 watts per channel), one 10” Panasonic EAK-WG25 Cast Aluminum basket sub-woofer, one Panasonic EQ-10 14 band Graphic Equalizer, one Alpine CDM 7874 CD Player head unit, and one pair of MB Quart RKC-116 6.5” two way cast polymer basket speakers with outboard crossover. All equipment is for sale for $225. I do not want to separate, but will consider a fair offer on separate pieces.
All equipment includes boxes except for the Panasonic EQ and Blaupunkt Amp. Also includes three new sets of Tsunami 9’ interconnects, noise filter and fused distribution block. The Alpine head unit is a high power player, but using the little Blaupunkt 4-channel amp provides better sound. However, if you use the onboard amplification in the head unit and the Blaupunkt amp too, that would provide you with 8 channels of power that you can use to separately power tweets, mids, and woofers. I also have an assortment of good quality tweeters, woofers and crossovers that can be used to configure a pretty spectacular sounding system. This equipment can also be professional installed as well. I do stealth installations that concentrate on sound quality and top notch installation practices. This equipment once was the equipment in my truck that I traded off in 2005 and has been sitting in a closet since. This equipment is in next to new condition and would cost you at least $900 - $1000 to buy new. A very good deal.

CHECK OUT THESE DRIVERS BELOW: MAYBE THE BEST DEAL OF THE YEAR FOR SPEAKERS
For sale, four brand new, in the box high quality mystery mid-woofers. These impeccably finished drivers feature a very robust cast aluminum basket, a massive magnet, a flawlessly finished matt black powder coat finish, a vented pole piece and heavy duty butyl rubber surrounds. They were in a pre-packaged box that had printed on it Four Scan Speak woofers and 2 Vifa tweeters (somebody already beat me to the tweeters). To me it looked like a pre-specified driver set that was to go to a manufacturer that sourced their drivers from a supplier to the industry? Maybe!? To further support my theory - I bought these speakers from a Vancouver liquidator that deals in lost and damaged shipping items. This guy cares little of the provenance of his valuable insurance company supplied write offs that he disposes of. He just wants the stuff gone plus a 100% profit. So, I bought these four - 6" woofers for a very good price to be used in a project, a project that has yet to see fulfilment. Therefore, I have decided to sell all of them for $200 OBO. Keep in mind that mid woofers of this quality are usually in the plus $200 range, each. I would know, as I build custom high end speakers and can distinguish a good driver from a not so good one, and these are good. Each speaker tests at 5.9 ohms, (good quality control) which is just right for a speaker that will spec at 6 – 8 ohms. These are still in the box, have never been mounted and still have the plastic shipping lugs that keep the surround from rubbing in the box. They sound no better or worse in the open air than a similar Scan Speak Revelator or Seas Excel woofer, the two – three hundred dollar a unit variety, which I have a few of. Another observation I had while listening to these speakers, is that they are long excursion and they need a lot of power to get them to jump around. I do not possess the instruments to measure specs other than the impedance. But, my observations tell me that the general stiffness and resistance to pressing the cone down, mean that this driver requires a lot of power and is thus, is not very sensitive. So, if you are planning on building some high quality speakers to absorb big power for your home or car, save yourself a few hundred dollars and check these out.
And, for what it's worth, I did submit these pictures to the Canuck Audio Mart User Forum Help site for assistance in identifying them. I cannot quite remember if it was one or two members, but the responses I got back opined that they were a Scan Speak manufactured driver for a different label, as someone had saw this speaker before. I am truthfully describing the speakers and the information I got on them. Plus, shipping would be expensive, as each speaker is almost 6 pounds in the box. I may be willing to split them up but would rather sell them as one lot. I cannot swear that these are Scan Speak made drivers, but I sure can give you my word that drivers are a hell of a deal. Just imagine, four high end woofers for the price of one.
